Sosyal Medyada Prime Time: Bireylerin Paylaşımları Üzerine Bir Analiz

Abstract

Geleneksel medyada “prime time” için ortak bir zaman dilimi söz konusu olabilmekteyken, sosyal medyada durumun farklı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Türkiye’de sosyal medya üzerine pek çok çalışma yapılmış olmasına karşın, kullanıcıların sosyal medyada aktif olduğu günler ya da gün içerisindeki tercih ettikleri zaman dilimleri konusunda yapılan çalışmaların oldukça kısıtlı olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Bu araştırmada, kullanıcıların içerik yayınlarken hangi saatleri tercih ettikleri, farklı sosyal medya hesapları için tercihlerinin değişip değişmediği gibi konular incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, en çok kullanılan sosyal medya platformlarından Facebook, Instagram ve Twitter temelinde yoğunlaştırdığımız çalışmamızda, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden anket tekniği kullanmıştır. Ulaşılan bilgiler ışığında ülkemizdeki sosyal medya kullanıcıları için geçerli olan prime time aralığı ile ilgili sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, araştırmamızda, sosyal medyada prime time aralığının oluşması ile benliğin sunumu arasındaki bağlantı tartışılmıştır.
