Differentiating and Blurring Class Concept in Turkey’s Modernization Period in Yalan Dünya

It is seen that traditional values and institutions resist modernization and constitute an obstacle in the transition societies during the transition from traditional to modern. The relationship between modernization and tradition can return to the relationship of conflict and exclusion. In particular, with the spread of television culture and the existence of different lifestyles, even individuals with a traditional lifestyle started to change their customs by making small changes in their lives. In this case, the precise lines of the upper and lower class concepts began to blur, intermediate classes and cultures were born. When considering the modernization process in Turkey it might be seen that great changes occurred in the social structure with the concept of modernization, urbanization, rural-urban migration has brought class conflict in its wake. Yalan Dünya Tv series which deals with the conflict between traditional and modern discusses confusion and the cultural perception in big cities in Turkey in the framework of the concept of traditional and modern families.

Geleneksel ile modern olanın çatışmasını ele alan Yalan Dünya dizisi, durum komedisi üzerinden Türkiye’deki büyük şehir ve kültür algısındaki karışıklığı geleneksel ve modern aile kavramı çerçevesinde ele almaktadır.
