PUBLICATION PRINCIPLES:
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1. Aksaray Journal of Communication, research on communication sciences, thoughts, practice-based research, etc. It is an academic national/international refereed journal with qualified articles. Articles submitted to the journal are pre-evaluated by the editorial board and published with the positive report of at least two referees determined by the board.
2. Aksaray Journal of Communication is published two times a year, in January and July.
3. Manuscripts must be original products that have not been published in a media or not yet in the publication stage. The presentation of the article in the form of a paper at a congress, symposium or meeting is not an obstacle for publication. Studies produced from master's and doctoral theses are included.
4. Our journal's writing style is Century Gothic. It is important that all studies to be sent to our journal are sent using the Article Template. The title of the article should be written at the beginning of the first page with only the first letters of the word capitalized, in bold and centered with Century Gothic writing style, 12 points. The name of the author should not be included in the article submission process. After the article is accepted, the name of the author should be written as a footnote (for example, GÖKHAN GÜLTEKİN), just below the title, aligned to the right, in 12 font size; If there is more than one author, their names should be written one under the other and the sequence numbers should follow each other. In addition, the academic title, post and e-mail address of the author or authors should be indicated at the bottom of the page in 9 font size as a footnote. (For example; Associate Professor Aksaray University Faculty of Communication, bilgehanaytac@aksaray.edu.tr)
5. Manuscripts should be written only on one side of A4 size paper, with the abstract and main text in 12-point lettering and as a word document in Century Gothic font. Manuscripts to be sent to the journal should be written using MS Word Program, with 1 line spacing. There should be spaces of 2.5 cm each on the top, bottom, left and right sides of the page. There should be extra space (spacing/after/0.6nk) between paragraphs in the 0.6 spacing.
6. Authors must become a member by logging into the system at https://dergipark.org.tr/aid. They are required to submit their studies through the system on this page.
7. The title and post of the authors should be indicated in the footnote.
8. Manuscripts, including abstracts, tables, figures and references, should be a a maximum of 8000 words.
9. The articles that have been decided to be published are presented as pdf on the journal web page.
10. The responsibility of the articles (primity in the publication, accuracy of the source, opinions put forward, etc.) within the specified principles belongs to the author.
11. All copyrights of the published articles belong to Journal of Aksaray Communication.
12. Articles should contain Turkish and English abstracts not exceeding 200 words, and keywords should be placed under the abstract.
13. It is appropriate for the study to follow the following order: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Title in Foreign Language, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Main Text, Conclusion and References.
14. The 6th edition of APA (American Psychological Association), which is the method of referencing the text, should be used for referencing. In both the citations and the bibliography part, the authors should follow the spelling rules and format specified in the American Psychological Association Publication Guide published by the American Psychological Association.
CITATIONS
1. Citations should be given in the main text by writing author surnames, dates and page numbers: (Aktan, 1996, p. 45) or (Kalender and Özodaşık, 1997, p. 63).
2. If there are more than two authors, the phrase “et al.” should be used after the surname of the first author: (Campbell et al., 1960, p. 28).
3. Citations to more than one publication at the same time all publications should be separated by semicolons: (Fiske, 1996, s. 72; Bostancı, 1995, s. 121; Bon, 1979, s. 3)
4. Only the references cited in the main text should be included in the bibliography and should be in alphabetical order according to the surname of the author.
5. If more than one sources of the same author is to be cited at the same time, it should be sorted from oldest to newest according to publication date. For studies made in the same year, the phrases "a, b, c..." should be used and they should be the same for references made in the text.
6. The way of specifying the studies in the bibliography should be as follows.
